Registration to CARS-ARES workshop 2026

The annual CARS-ARES workshop will be organized as a one day hybrid event during the ACTRIS Week 19-23 October 2026, in Katowice, Poland.

The workshop is organized on Wednesday, 21 October 2026.

If you intend to participate either in person or remotely, please register by 18 September 2026, so we can properly arrange the logistics.

There will be some time for new science, including synergies with other ACTRIS components. If you have something interesting to present, please propose below. In case we cannot accommodate all presentations during the workshop, we will do our best to fit them into the preparatory workshop or CARS-ARES webinars (virtual).

Tentative agenda

Session 1 (1h 30 min): QA/QC of the lidar measurements (general aspects and new features + 30 min discussions)
Session 2 (1h 30 min): Data provision and data processing (general aspects and new features + 30 min discussions)
Session 3 (1h 30 min): Science progress including synergies (short presentations from the community)
Session 4 (1h): Science progress including synergies (short presentations from the community)
Session 5 (30 min): Sum up and next actions
